| Biography:
Left Leeuwin and served on HMAS Sydney doing a few ferry trips - then
to Cerberus to complete Radio Operator Special Course - followed this to
HMAS Harman completing specialised training – posted to HMAS Swan
(Commissioning crew) swapped ships up top after 9 month's stint - to HMAS
Parramatta completing another 9 months - returned to HMAS Harman – then
overseas to Singapore and Hong Kong 1972 - 74 -again returned to HMAS
Harman then posted to HMAS Coonawarra for several years during 1974 –
1980 were we where caught up in Cyclone Tracy. Got married (first time) in
1973 and divorced in 1984 (2 children). I then remarried in 1987 to Leanne
and have two more children, Emily 15 and Joel 12.
Paid off in 1988 from Navy Office, Staff Officer Director Naval
Intelligence and Security as a Warrant Officer and came to Tassie where
Leanne is from, took a year off and built our home on 6 acres just outside
of Hobart below Mt Wellington. Then had to find a job.
Currently enjoy playing golf and touch rugby, bushwalking,
abseiling
and bike riding. Also involved with the children in numerous sports and
hobbies (Emily - dancing, acrobats, singing and swimming. Joel into
soccer, motor bike dirt racing, golf, swimming and skate boarding. Leanne
enjoys time out, shopping and cooking).
