Biography:

From Leeuwin joined the Sydney for three trips.  Drafted to Lonsdale for three and a half months, then Cerberus for AB's course (QMG).  Went to Derwent for a jolly to Pearl Harbour 1969, back to Australia to be posted to Parramatta for two years taking in the the sights of Asia.  Drafted to Creswell, promoted to leading seaman 1972.  Drafted to Stuart then back to Cerberus for a Petty Officer's course.  On completion of course posted to ships in reserve and had a four month holiday taking in a bit of fishing and doing rounds through the Anzac and Sydney.

After our time on Sydney in 67/68 with all that was happening, it was quite aerie to walk through the main passage after she was decommissioned.

Drafted to Swan for two years with jollies up top, picking up my PO's December 1974.  Posted to Yarra for five months with a trip to New Zealand.  Two year posting to Albatross and then two and a half years on Adroit operating out of Darwin.  Back to Albatross for just over two years, was posted to pick up the Darwin in the USA but knocked it back as they offered me promotion to Chief.  Last posting was Buffer on Stuart in the West. (It only took seventeen years writing dream sheets to get a posting to the West.) Had another jolly up top which included China.

I married when I was at Creswell 1972, had three girls. Divorced in 1979.

Married again in 1981, had three girls. Separated 1996, divorced 2000.

Married again 2002 to Pauline.

My girls are spread around the country, the eldest, Leonie, is near Surfers and has three daughters. The twins, Pamela and Tracey live in Adelaide.  Pamela has a girl and two boys.

From my second marriage, Nicole is in Karratha, Candice and Shannon are living in Rockingham.

When I got out of the navy I worked at the University of W.A. and left two years ago.  Since then I have been a TPI pensioner.
