Junior Recruit Memorial Project

A quick update on proceedings, we are presently awaiting quotes for the construction of the memorial and an image of what will be put in place. I will put out a more comprehensive newsletter soon.

In the mean time we do need donations so if you can find a few dollars that might be hidden away we have a very good cause. Just $1,000 from each intake will do it for us so if you are in contact with your mates from your intake give them a call and take their money. (That is probably just $10 each and I am sure you can afford it)

We are getting $4,000 from DVA to assist but when the project will cost about $70,000 this won't go very far.

We will also plan to have the opening celebrations to coincide with the 50th anniversary (2010) of JRTE that is of course if we can raise the money. I am sure if we make the funds target  then we will get many to turn up.

The bank account for donations is Westpac Junior Recruit Memorial Fund  BSB 037 604 Account Number 22 7096 and you can transfer money at any Westpac Branch.

Without the money we are not going to be able to preserve your heritage.
