Since I was medically discharged “as nothing can be done”, and was
treated by a bush GP who had me right in 18 months, I have had a great and
varied life.
I was fortunate that once I recovered from my RAN trauma that I
received the best advice I could ever have been given, “get a degree”.
That I did, twice.
I then decided to make manufacturing processes my speciality and have
travelled extensively throughout China, The Philippines, Europe, America
and Africa utilising my expertise.
I eventually accepted a position in Christchurch some 12 years ago and
decided to settle for once and for all.
That only lasted a few years before I was sent to South Africa as the
Managing Director for a rugby clothing brand. My stint there
lasted some 5 years before I decided that I had had enough of the stress
and traumas associated with the job.
I returned to Christchurch a year ago where I decided to take life a
lot easier and have a quality life.
I married in ’73 and divorced in ’83 to a great lady who is still
my best friend. We didn’t have kids and neither of us re-married.
This short summary is only a quick over view of the great life and
times I have had (and a lot to more to come I hope), for to write it all
would fill volumes.
At 54 I am wonderfully happy and have lived my life to the full with no
regrets.
